Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager Chris MacFarland announced the signing of defensemen Jack Ahcan and Hunter Skinner to two-way contracts on July 1, 2026.
The Nashville Predators signed Jack Ahcan to a two-year, two-way contract and Hunter Skinner to a one-year, two-way contract.
Ahcan, 29, played 11 games with the Colorado Avalanche in the 2025-26 season, tallying two assists.
The signings come as the Nashville Predators look to improve their defense after finishing 10th in the Western Conference with a 38-34 record and on a L2 streak.
Skinner, 25, made his NHL debut with St. Louis on Nov. 14, 2025, vs. Philadelphia, playing 10:45 with a +1 rating.
The 6-foot-3, 195-pound blueliner recorded 19 points in 60 outings for the AHL’s Springfield Thunderbirds in 2025-26.
The Nashville Predators will look to integrate Ahcan and Skinner into their lineup for the 2026-27 season, presented by Regions Bank.
